I’ve wanted to fly a Piper Cherokee for many decades. Let’s, quite frankly, go.
Keeping (night) current.
Had to do five take-offs and landings at night to keep being able to carry passengers at night. Sure, it’s nearly impossible to see anything, but meh, you get what you pay for.
Paul Taylor – Rainy St. Station
Here’s some music, for music’s sake. Enjoy! (Or not – I won’t tell you what to do.)
Flying into (the) Vancouver (area) Pt.2
A nasty looking storm stands between us and getting home. Do we ever make it? Are we still looking for a way around the storm to this day? Do I ever get this video edited? Stay tuned…
Flying into (the) Vancouver (area) Pt.1
I needed more hood time for my night rating, so we flew down to Pitt Meadows (CYPK). Will I ever get my lefts and rights straight? Stay tuned…
Night Flying (I think… hard to tell.)
This video is kinda like original Game of Thrones TV show – it’s slow, and WAY too dark. (ha.) (If it makes you feel any better, I had to do FIVE HOURS of solo circuits at night…)
Paul Taylor – Around the World (feat. Anna Dinyés)
Huge thanks to Anna for singing this for me! It’s available in your favourite music store now!
And so it begins – my first PPL passenger!
After a crazy summer, I finally accomplished one of my goals – I took a friend on a sightseeing flight. The flight was awesome from start to finish (so I guess that means it’s all downhill from here?).
How much does it cost to get your Private Pilot Licence?*
* Probably not $19,808.22. Anyway, in this video, I definitely do not go flying.
The day I got my PPL!
By the filming of this video, I’d already passed the flight exam, so all I needed was a bit of hood time (the footage was boring), and a couple of hours of solo cross-country (this). My 360 cam died shortly after liftoff, so here’s a time lapse of the entire flight, until I was about to turn base at the end (because the GoPro battery died). …also, fly like I say, not like I fly.
